Second Age and Order of the Golden Staff teamed up on March 25, 2006 to visit some of our old friends in the sinking sands! We hung out with:

As many know, the Second Age guild moved to EverQuest 2 more than a year ago. What may not be as well known is that we have had the opportunity to again partner up with our friends, Order of the Golden Staff. They also moved to EQ2 and we've been having a lot of fun together, especially recently, where we have begun to raid the higher-end content. We are in the process of working on Prismatic weapon quests and are making progress battling several of the tougher Epic mobs in the new Norrath.

These past few weeks, since the end of the Summer Blues, Second Age and their friends from OGS, have been steadily and forcefully marching forwards through the Elemental Planes. Fennin Ro fell easily, Coirnav fell in a fight we partnered with SS. We have done full clearings of the Plane of Fire, the Plane of Water, the Plane of Earth, and are keyed for the Xegony fight in the Plane of Air.

A big thanks to all the members for sticking it out through the tough Summer months and being here to continue on our path through success.

Our latest accomplishment came last Saturday, when we cleared the Plane of Earth and triggered and slew, The Mystical Arbitor. This has flagged us for PoEb, and allows us to start preparing fo The Rathe Council.

Our first attempt at Fennin Ro ended up as a great success. The whole evening followed what appears to be a regular pattern for us. We get to our battle starting location with a couple of trains and several people scattered dead across the zone. We wipe to the first set of trash mobs we come across. Then we miraculously turn into this efficient fighting machine that effortlessly mows through several tough named and in closing downs one of the toughest elemental gods in the first try!! It always baffles me when we do that

Sorry about the problems with the site this weekend. I've been waiting for the ISP to fix the problem at their end while they were telling me the problem was with the code in the website, except it hasn't changed in months. Magically it started to work again just a few minutes ago with no change at my end. Very odd. Well, we're back online it appears

In what turned out to be a very exciting fight, we defeated Solusek Ro and ended up flagging 53 SA/OGS members for the Plane of Fire. The setup for this event was a royal pain. It took a long time to raid everyone in and then a long time to figure out the strategy that we should use. After the first aborted attempt, we quickly re-grouped and then proceeded to take Solusek Ro down with no mishaps. Congratulations to Soca and Daeus on their awesome new Masks.

I've been kinda lax about keeping the front page up-to-date, so this is a quick report to cover some of the things that Second Age has achieved over the past few months.

We have worked very hard to get ourselves and our friends, Order of the Golden Staff, flagged for the Sol Ro Tower and the Elemental Planes. We are quite proud that we now have 90+ flagged for Sol Ro and 60+ flagged for the Elemental Planes. We are still working hard to get backflags for new recruits and members that are a little behind.

We have also been working quite hard to obtain Sol Ro mini flags so as to be able to challenge Sol Ro himself in his Chamber. That is coming along very well, so we will be making an attempt on this evil deiety very soon.

Lord Mithaniel Marr Revisited...

It was a great triumph for Second Age to once again defeat Lord Mithaniel Marr in a Almost FLAWLESS Battle. We had our greatly appreciated friends from Order of the Golden Staff, as well as, some other valued friends who came to join us. Despite all the server problems this week, on Friday night we all came together as a team and really shined on our victory against Lord Mithaniel Marr. Cudios to our officers who really had it together and greatly coordinated the raid. Friday night I was very proud of everyone and the great teamwork we showed. We are definately ready for bigger and better things.

Lord MM is pantless because both of his belts dropped tonight.

In a tough 2 hour fight which had many nay-sayers and doubters convinced we would fail, the brave men and women of Second Age, Order of the Golden Staff, and friends, took down Bertoxulous. We were actually very surprised at just how quickly Bert himself dropped, we certainly were not lacking any DPS. The healers kept Toroksr up until the last 6%, which in itself was very impressive, especially if you ask Toro why Alltogether a job very well done, I thank and salute you all for the hard work and perseverance everyone has shown.

It has been a long and hard road, but the members of Second Age toughed it out through the long and arduous months of patiently strengthening the guild. Second Age is now officially flagged for the Sol Ro Tower. I would like to thank all our members for having stuck through this with such determination and honest loyalty to the guild. We are now just one step away from the Elementals!

Yes Moonhawk has done it again. Bad Breath has once again single handedly dropped the Goddess Terris Thule. I have PIC posted to prove it!

During our quest for Elemental plane access, we had the opportunity to revisit Terris Thule and took her down very quickly. We got alot of backflags for Second Age, as well as, helped a few of our allies out in the process. It was a fun fight!

This week Second Age made its prescence known to the Deieties and Dragons of the Plane of Power. On Monday we rapidly slew Grummus and Rydda'Dar, both before midnight. On Wednesday we slew Aerin'Dar and officially flagged 72 people for HoH. The fight against Rydda'Dar was Epic! Incredibly we kept our MT, Toroksr alive throughout the fight. We did not have to switch MT, which we were prepared to do. Rydda fell very quickly, and most of our Raid force remained standing. Here are some pictures:
